Join us on a tour through the picturesque historic district of Natchitoches, Louisiana, the oldest permanent settlement in the entire Louisiana Purchase.  You’ll also enjoy learning about the history behind the quaint little town over the past three centuries.

We’ll also take you by many of the locations where the movie Steel Magnolias was filmed in 1988, and give you some insight into the lives of Shelby, Ouiser, and the rest of the cast.

Some of the sites you will see on our tours include many bed and breakfast homes, the old Courthouse, the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the Steel Magnolia house, and many more!

Location

Our spring, early summer, and winter location is in the 700 block of Front Street, across from Kaffie-Frederick hardware store.  During the heat of the summer, we move back to the 400 block near the bridge, under the great Live Oak tree.
